This three piece 8' five weight is one I made for myself. Based on my Otter Creek taper, the fine tips enable the rod to protect light tippets. The fast action makes it easy to throw a long line. A strong butt section makes mending line simpler. The main wraps are Antique Gold with java beige accents. The hand picked Brazilian agate stripping guide is from the Select Series by Snake Brand. The slender grip tapers toward the front and fits my hand well. The reel seat wood is olive.
