Hollow Built Western Special
8′ two piece six weight
As you might guess, there is a soft spot in my heart for ministers. I try to offer them something of beauty designed to aid re-creation any time I can. One of my minister friends tries to fish in Montana every year. I created this Dickerson commemorative rod for him. The eight foot six weight 8014 is one of Dickerson’s most sought after tapers, and perhaps as nice an 8′ #6 as has ever been created. My friend Alan Kube made the reproduction Dickerson seat hardware for me, though I turned the black ash burl wood filler. The root beer colored agate stripping guide works well with the medium brown wraps.
Like many of my current crop of rods, this one is hollow built.
